Baum Tree Care is a professional tree service, operating in Center Wellington since 2009. We specialize in tree climbing which allows us to work on your tree with less impact to your yard from heavy equipment. We occasionally use an aerial lift if needed.

Phil Guenter

Phil Guenter is part-owner and lead arborist at Baum Professional Tree Care. He works in the field to ensure that the crew is safe, efficient, and meets customer expectations. As lead arborist , he uses his knowledge and skills to provide clients with the best recommendations and solutions to meet their needs.

Phil has been an arborist for more than 20 years starting off as a Forestry Technician at Sir Sandford Fleming College. He later attended the Arborist Apprenticeship Program at Humber College. He worked in the industry for a number of years before starting Baum Professional Tree Care in 2009. He has worked as a climbing teacher and technician at Humber College to help educate other upcoming arborists.

Phil is extremely passionate about trees and their conservation. He volunteers with community groups such as Elora Environment Centre and Trees for Tots and is involved in the preservation of mature trees with Tree Trust.

Serena Guenter

Serena Guenter is part-owner and general manager of operations.

She is an ISA certified arborist who graduated as an Environmental Technician from Sir Sandford Fleming.  She is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Environmental Governance program at the University of Guelph.  She has two decades of experience working in the environmental and arboriculture fields. Her passion is educating people on the importance of trees in our landscapes and working on land stewardship projects with community groups.

She works behind the scenes in the office managing sales and finances, hiring team members, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the business.

Cameron Drimmie

Cameron Drimmie originally graduated from the University of Guelph earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in real estate and housing. After briefly working in the real estate industry, he found that his true passion was with trees and the environment, but has been able to carry over his business knowledge which helps in his current role as assistant manager and crew lead. In his role he works both in the field and behind the scenes.

 

He began his career in arboriculture in 2021 with Baum Professional Tree Care. He has since obtained his credentials as an ISA Certified Arborist and is working towards earning the ISA’s Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ). Cameron is passionate about tree protection, conservation, and stewardship and is focusing his knowledge on how to improve the local urban forest.

Andrew Campbell

Andrew Campbell is one of our lead climbers. His background was in woodworking before he graduated from the Arborist program at Algonquin College. He is working toward his ISA Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist certificate. Andrew is a skilled climber who is passionate about trees.

Cory MacMillan

Cory MacMillan graduated from the Humber Arboriculture Apprenticeship Program and is an Ontario certified arborist. He is also an ISA certified arborist with over 15 years of experience in the industry.

We are Tree Trust approved arborists!

Tree Trust is a program with the Elora Environment Centre. It was established in June 2019 after seeing a growing need to preserve mature trees.  Their mission is to help preserve important legacy trees in communities across Southern Ontario.
